For our first ever LISI News we have pulled together some updates from the world of invasive non-native species for you….

E Learning Available: Great Britain Non Native Species Secretariat (GB NNSS) have completed various E-Learning packages. Perfect for integrating into preferred contractor training or done as part of your own staff training. www.non-natives.gov.uk

LISI Forum: was held on the 4th September with over 30 participants, we hope to hold more Forum meetings in the future to share information in the London invasive species sector. So keep an eye out for the next invite!

Biosecurity: Research led by the University of Leeds has demonstrated the effectiveness of hot water in preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species on angling (and other) equipment. http://www.nonnativespecies.org/news/index.cfm?id=150

RINSE Closing Conference: was held September 23rd in Norwich. RINSE was a EU funded programme to share INNS information across boarders. A range of information is available online at http://www.rinse-europe.eu/
